Alex helps set the firm's investment strategy and market views, and builds strong partnerships with top tier fund managers across public and private markets to position clients for access to capacity constrained funds. Alex conducts rigorous due diligence on each prospective opportunity, ensuring that every investment meets institutional quality standards and aligns with the objectives of the firm's client base.
Background
With over a decade of investment experience, Alex joins 1911 Trust after 8 years as a Managing Director at Cambridge Associates, where he worked with family offices and institutions globally on asset allocation and fund manager selection/due diligence across public and private asset classes. Alex and his team managed $13 billion in assets with clients ranging in size from $200 million to over $4 billion.
Prior to joining Cambridge Associates, Alex was an Associate at BNY Mellon Wealth Management, where he worked with high-net-worth families and non-profits on investment strategy and financial planning. Prior to his investment career, Alex worked as an Assistant Football Coach at Harvard University and in Football Operations for the New England Patriots.
Alex is a CFA charterholder and a Certified Financial Planner.
Away from the office
As a former collegiate athlete and football coach, Alex's passion for sports and competition has not been diminished. When not in the office, Alex can be found on the golf course, paddle courts, or the ski slopes, as well as enjoying the outdoors on the North Shore. Alex also volunteers at his alma maters, serving as a member of the Roxbury Latin Alumni Council and Trinity College's Long Walk Society Committee. Alex and his wife live in Hamilton, MA.
